So I was invited to try out this new razor....
The Micro Touch ONE is a modern version of the classic, old school safety razor. I am sick and tired of paying $30 for a pack of blades for my current razor, so I thought I'd give it a try.
The first time I shaved with the Micro Touch ONE, I was a little nervous. I had never used a safety razor, and was afraid I would cut myself horribly. Well, I did cut myself a little the first time, but not bad. The second and third time I shaved with it...no cuts. There is certainly a learing curve with this shaver. Your strokes need to be shorted, and it does take a bit longer to shave. When I say it takes longer, I have anly added maybe 2 minutes to my shave, so it's really no big deal. The shave you get is close, so you're also not sacrificing a good sahve for the new razor.
The biggest selling point of this shaving system is the price. I priced out safety razor blades at my local Krogers for $2.50 for a pack of 10...thats $.25 cents a blade! No more getting gouged for razor blades.....
The razor itself is pretty cool. It's made of solid brass, with a chrome coating. It has a good heavy feel to it, and changing the blades is super easy.
I've been shaving with this razor for about three weeks now, and I find I need to change the blade about once a week, which is the frequency I was replacing my expensive blades with too. Like I said, there is a learning curve, but it's second nature to me now, and I have no issues at all.
